My sister, Laura, works morning shifts at Wawa on the weekends and needs a babysitter during those times. I always offer to help because I dont mind watching her on her good days she's not so hard to watch. I chose the wrong side.
After hours of watching cartoon shows and movies such as Little Bear, Yo Gaba Gaba, and Mulan, it was time for lunch. We just recently got a new dog. Her name is Flo and well Kayleigh thinks the dog cannot get hurt or sick. The dog loves attention and always hangs around my niece because she feeds her.
I just got done making her a cheese sandwich for lunch and told her not to give it to the dog like she did the day before. I handed it to her and she made it seem like she was going to eat it so, I decided to go watch a tv show that I would enjoy.
Not even 5 min later I saw the dog coming into the family room eating some bread and at the same time heard the trash can get pushed back into the door. Thinking to myself, "Did she actually do that?" I started walking into the kitchen and started to question why and she insisted that she did not feed the dog.
The lesson learned here is, kids may seem like their going to do something when your watching, but when you turn your back they do not hold back. So instead of leaving him or her to eat sit with them, and make sure they eat. Having a conversation with a 4 year old is always a funny and interesting.
Till next time,
Uncle Greg
Hello Greg! Great point! I have witnessed this behavior first hand as well. Kids are so funny. Having conversations with them is definitely a way to keep tabs on them while having a funny and interesting conversation.
