We got this new game for the Wii called Just Dance 3. Watching Kayleigh play this game was hilarious. She thinks she can actually dance and she looks like a diva while "shaking" it.
Well when she was dancing the other day she attempted a spin. She spun more viscously than usually that the Wii remote flew out of her hand and almost smacked me in the face.
Reminder: Make sure kids have the wrist band closed tightly while playing with the Wii.

Bed Time
It was time for Kayleigh to go to bed. So she said her good nights to everyone and wet into her bed to sleep. Her mom tucked her in and then began reading her a book.
After reading the book Kayleigh decided to go to the bathroom after she was told to go before hand. My sister has been fighting with her about this for a few weeks now and Kayleigh just wont listen. My sister getting annoyed with that so when she started crying becuase she wouldn't tuck her back into her bed.
Kayleigh ended up crying at the top of the steps until she passed out there. We did not even bother moving her from the spot. She slept at the top of the steps all night.
Reminder to parents; remind your little ones to use the bathroom before you tuck them in and begin reading the bedtime story.

St. Patrick's Day
Ever since I was young in elementary school, on St. Patrick's Day my mom would buy gold chocolate coins and I would go into school early and put those coins on all of my classmates desks to play that part as the leprechaun. I did this though pre-school, kindergarden and elementary school. No one knew it was me until 5th grade when i told people.
Well this year we did it to my niece. She woke up on St. Patty's day and saw gold coins linning up from her room. She followed the coins (picking them up as she goes) which led her to the refrigerator. She was wondering why it led her there. She opened the fridge and screamed with excitement.
"The leprechaun made our milk green Uncle Greg!"
I heard that until the milk was all gone. haha. St. Patrick's day has been a fun holiday with my family for years and now passing it on.. it feels great to be a part of it.

Kayleigh and the Wii
Over the weekend the family was getting together at the house. We got done eating dinner and we decided to play some Wii Sports. We played some baseball, tennis, and golf. After everyone got to play Kayleigh was complaining that she did not get to play.
I decided to be nice and play a game of bowling with her. It was an east game for her to understand, so we began. I started off letting her win and not trying so hard but to everyones surprise she was doing great. Like really great. She was doing so well that she made me look bad.
I began to try a lot harder just to make it a competition. She surprised everyone with how well she was doing. Sadly she ended up beating me in Wii bowling. I got ragged on by the whole family all weekend long.
For now on I will not under estimate how bad or well Kayleigh will play a game. I will compete my hardest because she might end up being good at the game after all.

Kayleigh's Alarm
Today waking up on time was harder than usual. I woke up before my alarm went off..so I though. Instead my niece, Kayleigh, thought it would be funny to take my phone from my room to play some games.
Because she took my phone I ended up missing my class this morning. She must have been very quiet when coming in my room because my phone sits right next to my bed on a table. When I finally woke up I had to figure out where my phone was. Kayleigh was looking all innocent and what not watching some tv in the living room.
She is not a morning person. She is usually very cranky ; so I just leave her alone. Well this morning she came up to me and said, "Good morning Greg!" To me that was a little suspicious. I went and sat next to her while she was watching tv. I noticed that she was trying to hide something under her leg. My plan on getting her to move is to tickle her. She jumped up from laughing so much and noticed my phone was there.
So note to self is to lock my door for now on. Set multiple alarms for the morning, and Kayleigh likes to take your cell phone.

Morning with Kayleigh
On my very rare days off from work and babysitting I enjoy sleeping in. Like any kid, teen, college student (I could go on..) likes to do. Well this past weekend I had off on Saturday. Her mother was at work so my younger brother was asked to watch her for a change.
At bout 9:30 in the morning for some God knows reason decided to play "hospital" on the steps right next to my door. She cant play this game quiet, she cant do anything quiet.
I tried to sleep over patients getting examined, brought to and from the hospital. You can imagine the noises and conversations going on. For the next hour thats all I heard.
My brother did nothing. She was away from him so he didn't care. What a nice brother huh? So what I though was gonna be a good day to sleep in ended up being woken up by Kayleigh playing "hospital."

My sister, Laura, works morning shifts at Wawa on the weekends and needs a babysitter during those times. I always offer to help because I dont mind watching her on her good days she's not so hard to watch. I chose the wrong side.
After hours of watching cartoon shows and movies such as Little Bear, Yo Gaba Gaba, and Mulan, it was time for lunch. We just recently got a new dog. Her name is Flo and well Kayleigh thinks the dog cannot get hurt or sick. The dog loves attention and always hangs around my niece because she feeds her.
I just got done making her a cheese sandwich for lunch and told her not to give it to the dog like she did the day before. I handed it to her and she made it seem like she was going to eat it so, I decided to go watch a tv show that I would enjoy.
Not even 5 min later I saw the dog coming into the family room eating some bread and at the same time heard the trash can get pushed back into the door. Thinking to myself, "Did she actually do that?" I started walking into the kitchen and started to question why and she insisted that she did not feed the dog.
The lesson learned here is, kids may seem like their going to do something when your watching, but when you turn your back they do not hold back. So instead of leaving him or her to eat sit with them, and make sure they eat. Having a conversation with a 4 year old is always a funny and interesting.
Till next time,
